Third Kingdom was always more than a restaurant — it was a way of cooking rooted in mushrooms, time, and the quiet complexity of the natural world. That spirit, and many of the dishes you came to know, have found a new home at our sister restaurant, Avant Garden.

With Understory, a new culinary residency from Chef Juan Pajarito, we’re carrying that work forward, beginning with a selection of dishes from Third Kingdom, alongside new expressions shaped by the same philosophy.

It’s not a reopening, but a continuation.
